Put on your positive pants!

Don’t forget to put on your Sunday Best this weekend – from 10am to 12 noonGirls Around Town will be back on air…

And just like June and guest Claire Clements, make sure you’ve got your positive pants on too!

It’s Mother’s Day this Sunday of course, so what could be more appropriate than a catch-up with someone whose business is all about pointing mums – and dads – in the right direction towards helping their kids feel empowered in a fun and creative way?

Claire will be on the phone to the studio from 11.10am with the latest news from Positively Empowered Kids, her award-winning network of dedicated and inspiring experts all working to support the next generation.

Top of the list no doubt will be the online Neurodiversity event for parents, which takes place on Zoom and Facebook from 7.30pm every evening between Monday 15 and Friday 19 March.

An opportunity to explore and learn new and different approaches to support and celebrate neurodiversity, this week-long event will be rounded off on Saturday 20 March by a day of workshops for both parents and children, together with a panel event featuring some of the amazing young people Claire and her group have connected with recently.

For more details of this and other upcoming activities with kids at the forefront, make sure you join June and Claire this weekend…

There’s a rumour going round that Claire will have news of a prestigious award too but you’ll need to tune in to 107.8FM or listen online to find out all about that!

Kids’ stuff

It’s all about kids on Girls Around Town this weekend…

Not June‘s specialist subject by any stretch of the imagination but luckily she knows a few local ladies who are definitely experts in this field!

Joining her on the phone in the second hour of the show is the co-owner of one of Newark‘s newest small businesses, Cate Martin from BeanBlock Café.

There’s  no shortage of great independent coffee shops in the town, of course, but if you’re a mum (or even a dad!) you’ll definitely want to hear what she has to say about the range of children’s activities hers has to offer.

And how giving Buggy Buddies a go? A chance to get out of the house and meet other mums while enjoying a socially-distanced walk, this regular event could be just what you’re looking for too.

Make sure you’re listening in from 11.20am on Sunday to catch what Cate has to say – and don’t miss the first hour of the show either, because there’s more specially for parents then.

June will be sharing all the details of Claire‘s latest course, Back to School – Positively! – which runs from Monday 24 to Friday 28 August.

Whether your children are looking forward to returning, have some slight niggles or are full-on hating the idea of being separated from you, this course will help them to see the benefits of school and give them some coping mechanisms for if they wobble.

Tune in to 107.8FM or listen online between 10am and 12 noon for all this and more on the show that brings you the very best local news, views and interviews every Sunday morning.

Say hello to the new girl in town!

Cast your mind back to early last month and you may remember Claire Clements popping into the studio to talk about how she helps clients achieve Blissful Balance in their lives.

Or even further back to the beginning of June, when she made her first appearance on the show to talk about the  power of Positive Pants

Guests on Girls Around Town invariably say how much they enjoy spending their Sunday mornings with June Rachel and Rosalyn but Claire went one step further and, to everyone’s delight, offered to get involved on a regular basis.

So meet the new girl in town – from next month, she’s joining the team as a regular guest presenter!

Claire will be making her debut in November, sharing some of her own thoughts on the topics of the day and giving June a helping hand when they talk to guest Amanda Stone about Christmas-themed events and workshops at Hanwell Estates.

Dates are already in the diary for her to be back in December and January and hopefully they’ll be just the first of many.

But for now, make sure you tune in to 107.8FM or listen online between 10am and 12 noon on Sunday 10 November to hear her make that debut.

And, in the meantime, find out more about Claire here
