A feast of local flavours

food festThe Girls Around Town will be casting the culinary net even wider on Saturday, taking a look at a fabulous festival coming up next month.

Celebrating local food from artisan producers based in and around Nottinghamshire, the Winter FoodFest returns to Thoresby Courtyard near Ollerton on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 November.

And who better to give June, Tina and Sue the inside scoop on what to expect than the festival’s organiser?

Alison Lowe will be taking a break from pulling it all together to talk about some of the terrific stalls lined up for this annual event, now in its seventh year.

With cookery demonstrations by local chefs in the Kitchen Theatre, a themed Treasure Hunt for children and plenty of tasty treats to try and buy in the Riding Hall and the Courtyard, it’s a must for foodies.
