Cool stuff for kids at pop up sales

kids designer clothing salePop up shops are – quite literally – popping up all over the place these days.

They’re a great way to buy things you might not normally find on your local High Street. And when the items on sale come with up to 70 per cent off, well what’s not to like?!

For all the mums out there with children aged between 0 and 13, here’s one – well, three actually – where you can bag a designer bargain for the kids.

If you’re Nottingham-based, you can shop for your tots from 11am to 3.30pm on Wednesday 22 April at The Riverbank Bar & Kitchen in West Bridgford.

And for mums in and around Newark, there’ll be two chances to enjoy these great offers – from 10am to 3pm on either Thursday 23 April at Tom Browns Brasserie in Gunthorpe or Friday 24 April at Farndon Boathouse Bar and Kitchen.

Each of the three stylish venues hosting the Designer Children’s Clothes Sale this month is offering shoppers a 20 per cent discount on food during the event. Just follow the links above for their telephone numbers and quote ‘pop up sale’ when you book a table for lunch…

Designer style without the designer price tag!

Cast your mind back and you may remember that the Girls Around Town flagged up the Beaumond House Designer Clothing Sale both online and on air last year.

Since then we’ve been waiting patiently for confirmation of the dates and times. Well, get your diaries out girls – here they come!

With a Preview Evening on Wednesday 15 April and the main sale on Thursday 16 April, there’ll be plenty of opportunity to shop till you drop at the Newark Academy Lilley & Stone Site on London Road. Needless to say, June will be leading the charge – and no doubt fashionistas from across the region have been busy recently, making space in their wardrobes for a few fabulous treats.

Whether you’re looking for something special to wear to a summer wedding or a ball, planning a holiday or just want to indulge in a little retail therapy, we have it on good authority that there’ll be no shortage of high end outfits and accessories to choose from. What’s more, you’ll be supporting a very worthwhile local cause too – how’s that for a little extra incentive?!

ladies drinking wineTickets are on sale now for Wednesday’s preview, which runs from 6pm to 10pm with wine and canapés included in the £10 admission price. Entry to Thursday’s sale is free and you can shop till you drop from 10am to 9pm.

Don’t forget there’s still time to make room for those new purchases by donating items you’ve never worn or which no longer fit – clothing, shoes, handbags, accessories, even coat hangers and garment rails will all be much appreciated. Just take them to Beaumond House at 32 London Road and help them on their way towards matching – or even beating! – the £25,000 raised at the last designer sale.

For more information or to book your tickets for the Wednesday evening, contact the Fundraising Team on 01636 610556. Then form an orderly queue ladies and get ready to bag a bargain…
