If you’re a regular listener, you’ll know that the Girls Around Town don’t just present a weekly radio show…
From artist to author, PR guru to IT expert, public speaker to blogger – between the three of them, they count all these skills and more among the strings to their bows!
On the show this weekend, the spotlight is on Tina as she celebrates her latest achievement – a month-long exhibition of her Cosmos Art at Bingham Library.
Running from Friday 1 to Saturday 30 April, the exhibition features a series of 10 artworks inspired by images from space and from learning about our place in this vast universe.
Tina will be talking to June about the whole experience, from the first time she put paint to canvas to just what’s involved in mounting an exhibition – a process that’s rather more complicated than merely hanging pictures in a gallery apparently!
As part of the event, she’ll be in the library every Friday afternoon throughout the month to meet and greet visitors. And on Friday 22 April there’ll be a workshop for those who want to join her for a play in the cosmic art box. Advance booking for this is essential as places, priced £10 each, are limited – to find out more, contact Tina via her Facebook page.
Tune in or listen online between 10am and 12 noon this Sunday – there’ll be news too of another event in Bingham, when Sue Mcfarlane chats to the girls about her free No Hands® Massage session on Saturday 23 April…
No Hands® Massage – how on earth does that work?! You’re probably thinking it sounds like an oxymoron, but think again…
Find out just what it is and exactly how it works next month, when complementary therapist Sue Mcfarlane of Natural Therapies For You holds her next open session at Earthchild in Bingham.
She’ll let you into the secret of the new massage with an introductory talk, demos and, if you’d like to give it a try, there’ll even be taster sessions too – fully clothed of course!
If you’re already one of Sue’s clients, why not bring along a friend or two? Maybe you’re not a client but you’re intrigued by the idea – you might even be a therapist, wanting to know more. Everyone’s welcome and what’s more, it’s free so what’s not to like?
The session runs from 10am to 12 noon on Saturday 23 April and you’ll find Earthchild at 67 Long Acre, Bingham NG13 8AG. Advance booking isn’t essential but you can give Sue a call on 07766 592025 for more details and let her know you’ll be dropping by…

It’s a hot topic – in more ways than one! – among women over 40 so it’s hardly surprising that the Girls Around Town will be turning the spotlight on the menopause as part of their new Fabulous After 40 series of interviews.
One of the guests lined up to take part in the discussions is complementary therapist Sue Mcfarlane. Watch this space for details of other guests involved and when they’ll be in the studio but, in the meantime, here’s news of an event coming up that could answer some of your questions and concerns.
On Saturday 27 February, Sue will be joining forces with mind coach and hypnotherapist Louise Page to present a two-hour holistic health workshop aimed at helping you to cope with the physical and emotional symptoms of menopause.
“You don’t need to be in the change for this to be relevant,” says Sue. “It’s never, ever too early to prepare.”
The workshop takes place from 10am to 12 noon at Earthchild, 67 Long Acre, Bingham NG13 8AG. Places are £15 each and strictly limited so advance booking is essential.
For more details and to reserve your place, call Sue on 07766 592025 or Earthchild on 01949 876062.
