On this week’s show the Girls Around Town are joined by an old friend whose new role has the be the stuff that dreams are made of.

June, Tina and Sue first met Katie Donohoe last summer when, as manager of The Children’s Society charity shop, she organised a hugely successful fashion show in the parish church. Now managing Newark’s Vintage2Versace, she has what many of us would consider to be the perfect job.

v2v chanelSpending your working day surrounded by glamorous vintage and couture clothes – researching, buying and selling fabulous outfits and accessories – giving talks about the history of fashion and organising photo shoots and other fashion-inspired events – come on ladies, what’s not to like about that?!

With three guests – Michelle Spriddell, Chris Senior and Maggy Milner – joining June, Tina and Sue from 11.15am, it’s going to be a full house in the Radio Newark studio this Saturday.

And by the end of the show, you’re guaranteed to have all the information you need to make the most of events taking place in and around this historic market town between Thursday 27 and Monday 31 August!

From the Antiques Fair at Southwell Racecourse on Sunday and Monday to the Arts and Crafts Market on Monday, not to mention attractions such as White Post Farm and Newfield Dairy, there really is something for all the family to enjoy!
