But if you missed it or you just need a quick reminder of the what, when and where, here’s a taste of what’s in store from 11am till 3.30pm on Sunday…

vintage make oversFrom clothing to cakes stands, buttons to beauty, lamps to lace and much, much more, it’s an absolute must for anyone who shares Clare’s passion for vintage – and the Girls Around Town‘s passion for shopping!

Browse the stalls, enjoy a luscious cream tea or a refreshing glass of Pimms and step back in time to the heady days of rock ‘n’ roll as you listen to the live DJ’s set.

Take a look at the Facebook page and follow the links there to find out more about all the exhibitors lined up.

Then head over to The Grange Hall, Vicarage Lane, Radcliffe on Trent NG12 2FB on Sunday 28 June – entry is just £1 for adults, with children admitted free, and all proceeds from the door admission will be donated to the Nepal Disaster Fund.

It’s vintage darling!

vintage darling eventsAfter a whirlwind appearance for the first hour next Saturday, Tina and Sue will be leaving June holding the fort for the rest of the show, while they head off to judge entries in The Big Newark Bake Off.

But she’s more than happy to let them eat cake (even if it is chocolate) since she’ll be indulging in another of the Girls Around Town‘s passions, albeit only talking about it!

Joining June shortly after 11am will be Clare Lees from Vintage Darling Events, with news of something special taking place on Sunday 28 June.

With clothing, memorabilia, furniture, crafts and jewellery all on sale, the Radcliffe Vintage Fair is a must if, like the girls, you love shopping.

There’ll be a rock ‘n’ roll DJ, hair and beauty makeovers and children’s entertainment too – and Elsie the Vintage Caravan will be putting in an appearance to serve up scrumptious cream teas…

Tune in from 10am to 1pm on Saturday or listen online to find out more. And look out for the girls in Radcliffe a week on Sunday, chances are they won’t be able to resist a visit!

Taking tea with Elsie

On Thursday 28, Friday 29 and Saturday 30 May, she’ll be turning into a perfect little vintage tearoom, serving up lots of lovely goodies in a unique woodland setting at Grange Farm in Egmanton.

On the menu between 11.30am and 5.30pm each day, you’ll find plenty of tempting treats to enjoy. Take your pick from scrumptious sandwiches, delicious afternoon and cream teas and all kinds of cake, from fruit and chocolate to Victoria sponge and even old-fashioned tarts just like the ones Granny used to make!

With homemade lemonade, coffee and a wide selection of different teas on offer too, it all adds up to the perfect recipe for a summer afternoon out with friends and family…

Advance booking is essential and you’ll find Grange Farm on Kirton Road in Egmanton (NG22 0HQ for sat nav users).

Call Steph on 07851 552620 for information on disabled access to the woodlands and to make your reservation. Then step back in time to the 1940s and join Elsie for afternoon tea with a vintage twist.
