The inside story

The brochures are on their way from the printer – the tickets will be on sale any day now – could there possibly be a better time to find out what’s in store when the 2018 Newark Book Festival comes to town?

Festival organiser Sara Bullimore will be in the studio with June and Rachel next Sunday to talk about the exciting programme she’s been busy planning for the weekend of Friday 13 to Sunday 15 July.

And if the success of last year’s event is anything to go by, Newark will be buzzing when venues across the town join forces again for another celebration of books, authors and the word.

Featuring everything from author events, panels and workshops to crime and contemporary fiction, history and activities for children, this year’s theme is Landscapes in Literature. With both ticketed and free events on offer, there’ll be something for everyone in a programme that’s designed to challenge and inspire you and, above all, to fire your imagination…

Tune in or listen online from 10am to 12 noon on Sunday to get the inside story from Sara when she joins the Girls Around Town to share everything you need to know about the what, the where and the when.

And, of course, about how you can join in this celebration of the very best in literature and the arts too!
