A mag-nificent offer from your local library!

magazine coverDo you spend a small fortune on magazine subscriptions? Can’t get through the week or the month without your regular fix of Hello! Magazine, Cosmopolitan, Good Housekeeping or even F1 Racing UK?

How would you like to choose from around 80 different titles, to read whenever and wherever you like on your PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone – all of them absolutely FREE?!

Well, if you’re a member of the Nottinghamshire Library service you can…

I’m a huge fan of the library here in Newark, which re-opened a few weeks ago after a four month facelift. As one of their best customers, getting through at least half a dozen books a week, I thought I knew all about their services; but somehow I missed this one, until a chance conversation at a networking meeting yesterday…

All you need is membership of the county library service (you can sign up online) and a few minutes to create an emagazine account. Then pick the titles you want, add them to your account and you’re ready to start reading, either in your browser or via the free Zinio 4 app.

You can even download back copies of some of the titles and register for alerts when the latest issues pop up online.

To get started, take a look at the titles on offer here, then click on the Create New Account tab at the top of the page.

Happy reading!!

BarcelonaPublication date for issue four of Around Town magazine is getting close – Tina and June are putting the final touches to it now and it won’t be long before it hits the streets.

It’s going to look ever so slightly different this time but there’ll still be plenty of interesting stories for you to enjoy, including

  • Super spring breaks from Gina
  • Good old-fashioned English puddings from Lisa
  • An unusual – but effective – way to give your toes a little TLC from Deborah
  • An alternative way to add a few new outfits to your wardrobe from June
  • Down on the farm with Tina

to name but a few.
