Behind the scenes of a busy life

From strutting her stuff on stage to chairing one of Newark‘s leading networking groups, this week’s guest on Girls Around Town is no stranger to the limelight – meet PR account manager Kerri Saxby, who joins June and Rachel in the studio to talk about her various roles past, present and future…

A member of Newark Business Club since August 2015, she was elected chairman earlier this year and is looking forward to working alongside its committee and members to raise the town’s profile.

Keen to extend NBC‘s links with local businesses and to support new companies coming into the area, she’ll be explaining how she’s making it her mission to encourage new members from different sectors to join the club.

She’ll be looking back too at the time she spent helping to build a school in Zambia last year, as well looking ahead to her part in Stroke of Genius Community Theatre Company‘s upcoming production of Giving Up Guilt.

Written by Caroline Drury and Cliff McArdle, this new musical comedy tells the story of modern living when it seems that everything except being thin, keeping fit and being successful leaves most of us with a guilty conscience about something or other.

The show goes on tour later this month, with its first stop at the Magnus Academy in Newark on Friday 22 and Saturday 23 June. Then it’s on to Muskham Community Centre on Tuesday 26 June before ending its run on Friday 29 and Saturday 30 June at Claypole Village Hall.

Tune in or listen online between 10am and 12 noon on Sunday for a look behind the scenes of Kerri’s busy life…

  1. Hi June,

Any chance of coming back to see you in the autumn. I am starting up History Tours of Boston to get ready for (hopefully) the invasion of Americans in 2020 for the Mayflower 400th anniversary. I am hopefully going to be starting courses for the WEA about becoming a travel writer too. I was in the Sun last week with an article about all the RAF sites to visit in Lincolnshire tied in with the RAF Centenary. Still travelling to Italy as much as I can. I hope you are well. It would be great to catch up again.
