It’s one of the biggest days of your life and finding the right dress for the occasion is almost certainly right up there at the top of your to-do list…

So how do you find one that’s a perfect fit, not just for your body shape but for your own style and personality?

Someone who has the answer is Anne Bird of Daisy Dresses, who joins the Girls Around Town as their latest Fabulous After 40 guest.

Following a long career in the public sector, Anne found her fabulous when she opened the Daisy Dresses studio and workshop in Winkburn last month. Specialising in designing and making bespoke wedding gowns, she works closely with each bride at every stage of the process, to create unique dresses designed to fit, flatter and help promote body confidence on the big day.

You’ll have to wait a few weeks to find out all about Anne Bird and Daisy Dresses – or will you?

On Sunday 14 August, Anne will be joining the Girls Around Town to talk about how she found her own Fabulous After 40 by setting up her new bespoke bridal design and dressmaking service.

But in the meantime, if you want a sneak preview of what she’ll be talking about on the show, she’s having a party to celebrate the official opening of her Winkburn studio – and you’re invited!

Visit the studio on the evening of Saturday 9 July and you’ll have chance to see how she puts her dressmaking skills to good use designing and sewing beautiful bespoke dresses and – her particular passion – restyling vintage wedding gowns for the modern day bride.

The celebrations start at 6.30pm – there’ll be food and drink as well as competitions and special offers too – and you’ll find Daisy Dresses at Unit 3,The Old Dairy Buildings, Winkburn, Newark, NG22 8PQ.
