county showFrom military music to mountain bike stunt displays, food and drink to ferret racing and dogs to 3D stone carving, the Nottinghamshire County Show has got the lot!

Despite the rather cold, wet weather, more than 47,000 visitors attended last year’s event and enjoyed a great family day out. Now tickets are on sale for the 2014 show, which runs from 9am to 6pm on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 May at Newark Showground.

In the Food Experience marquee, retailers and producers will be selling a wide range of local and regional produce; and throughout the weekend there’ll be cookery demonstrations from local chefs, tastings and ideas for easy entertaining.

If you’re a dog lover, you’ll love all the competitions for working dogs and family pets alongside displays of Flyball and Agility. Or why not bring your own pet along and enter the Companion Dog Show on Saturday or Sunday’s Fun Show organised by the Radcliffe Animal Shelter?
