The first of a series of summer events in Southwell takes place on Saturday 21 June, when the town council brings its Family Fun Day to The Burgage.

From 12 noon till 4pm, there’ll be a host of family-friendly activities on offer – everything from face painting to a fire engine, a bouncy castle to a boating lake and live music to Maypole dancing.

Browse among the community stalls, try your hand at have-a-go archery, enjoy an ice cream or two or tuck into the barbecue as you celebrate the start of summer in this historic market town.
