Only 1 in 5 women have bought a pair of heels this year
Figures released this week from Mintel show that only 22% of women have invested in a pair of heels this year, down from 29% last year (I love a good statistic). Now, while I knew that heels had really gone out of favour with a lot of women (thankfully this trend coincided with me starting this blog six years ago), this figure really surprised me – and it’s brilliant! That so many women are embracing the comfort AND style of flats and feeling empowered in their choices is music to my ears. And presumably music to those women’s feet, too.
